well.. considering from the list, the only real UPGRADE is the 7800 GTX. Heck, the 9600 seems to be a downgrade if you ask me (my friend has a 9600XT and my 6800 outperforms it). As far as resolution goes, my 6800 supports the 1920x1200, but I'm on an IBM P202 21" crt, so going with that resolution only gives me a letterbox effect. However, it still runs at that resolution none the less.

i'm just interested to see if Apple decides to give QT7 a new skin... Come on Apple.. get rid of the ugliness of Quicktime PC.

You'll also need Tweakui plugin. It took me a while to figure that out as well.

hmm.. is it just my version of wmp, or is the video screen fixed? if it is, is it easily possible to just edit the coding to get it to be able to resize? I'm on a 1600x1200 resolution and the box is soooo tiny when trying to watch subbed anime =P. Just when I dled iTunes, this skin pops up. Very Nice.

Right now, I'm running an iBook w/ the built-in AE and it's working just fine with my Netgear wireless router. So the powerbook shouldn't have any issues with non-apple wifi routers either.

Well I just bought a new notebook today. It's an iBook 12". Run pretty smoothly considering I only have the default 256mb memory.

I get something similar with my Sony HMD-A200 monitor. Both sides of the window are BARELY darker than the rest of the desktop, but it's easy to notice when moving the window slowly up and down the screen.
