The question of the topic should be re-instated; Isn't Vista too much? The effects are spilling all over the place. They are beautiful, but all that glow and ultra fluff overloads both physically and visually. There's no point to compare the rendering of the text and how much of it is just blue links. And as for who copies from who: If people let their memory slip away, you ought to check out WWDC summer 2006 and be blown away by how much MS is copying Apple, much outside the software. Apple broke out with the gloss way back since the earliest versions of Mac OS X. Before anyone have *****d their style of buttons and icons to the max, Apple came forth with the timeless drop down reflections. It was on their site design, buttons, icons and virtually everywhere. Almost every major company is advertising their products using Apple-like design. And that's not something to be ashamed of. It is crazy how much MS copies off of Apple. Literally. The effects in Vista are beautiful no doubt about that part. The icons are (finally) good looking. I mean, it's what, 2007? Mac OS X had top to bottom native big gorgeous icons since 2001. The same goes for the see-through title bar effect, which has already been evolved from on the mac since Jaguar. The imagery MS uses is the same exact images Apple used in their advertisement. These may be purchased copyrights, but still, using the same exact thing layout and content for promotions is incompetently sly. And by the way, I own a 360.

resident evil 4 (most thrilling game I have ever played before) diablo2 (and its expension map, most 'ever crack' like game I've had) shadow of rome (ps2 a recent game, REALLY powerfull, capcom of course) Myth2 (bungie's fun addicting game I still play till this very day) Red alert1&2 (played this game for years against my friends back at the days) Doom3 (Unbelievably scary and haunting game, disturbing sounds, gameplay is good and the graphics are shocking. However, their lighting effects are WAY too limited and overly dark which degrades from the overall look and feel. I wish there was a mod to double the lights' range of effect). 16mb of video ram is the minimum to get quartz extreme enabled, but even then its VERY limited. But it doesnt end there, you need a G4 processor (altivec) at the least to initiate that function to begin with. On the mac mini you have them both. 32mb of ram can achieve all functions basically, let alone your g4 speed tops 1ghz to run it fast. Sootmann noted the limitations quartzE CAN have. Nevertheless, 32mb of Graphics ram afterall, aren't a lot.

What in the world are you talking about, AGAIN? The caption bar on windows is the only thing you can drag around. The rest is 16x16 ugly mis-colored unidentified toolbar icons. The borders on it are pixelated and thicker than the goal post in a football field. I'm trying to organize this huge amount of comments I have about the windows gui, but I cant seem to think of what can be based next. Aqua-soft was born "thank" to the ugliness of windows. Praising it, or even worse, lie about its GUI as its "leading" others like apple, is laughable. Apple's caption bar doesnt exist on tiger.. you drag the window from every place you hit it, simple, logical and different, not to mention the color combinations, icons and window design are simply unmatched. Timan, now that you have an imac g5, you ought to see the differnce now you know. "pimping your ride" old dead beat up ford 75 truck, still, doesnt mean its better than a porsche. lol duckie is one of kind. I became a very proud mac elitist mainly because of homie D. I never noticed how much wrath and strength I had in my mac vs pc battles in Atari's forums (where I mocked feces users), in which I trolled (kinda like here now). The second I snapped out of it, I realized that all the pc elitistic geeks, whom I named, "stickers", "phlegm wipers", "forcefully skinners", "scarred wrists", "batheless nerds", etc, were easily pushed to the corner, and they resorted to hacking and death threats just like their MaSter. Its funny that "they" called mac users "artsy fartsy lol!!" and "a bunch of losers foreigners", while, these artsy fartsy faggots, own ferraris and live in hollywood hills with sex mades and dual 30" cinema display and G5's on each shelf, not to mention PC oriented hardware/software companies are 100.9% foreign brain drain with impossible accents and antsy service. I wont mention that Apple sent me a courtesy payment of $500 when the 2.5ghz came out, because of my 2.0 ghz purchase a month prior to the 2.5 release.
