Is there a way to set the update frequency for the weather docklet? My dsl connects automatically on startup but it starts after Avedesk so unless I manually tell it to update the weather info, the display is blank.

unisntalling the plugin does seem to resolve the problem, except for the small black square on the scrollbar. Although, when I maximize itunes, the black box gets bigger, but when I restore to regular size it goes away. Strange, no? Thanks for the quick reply. Do you live on this forum?

I've been having a problem with itunes lately, okay more of an annoyance, that I think (THINK!) is related to mplugin and was wondering if anyone else might have had a similar problem. Here Goes: When I open itunes the whole program is black... as if they are just empty images. I can scroll around and click stuff and they appear, and it happens with every skin I use. When I switch to mini-player and then back to full mode, it goes away and my skinned itunes comes up, except for a small black square on the right scrollbar. I have uninstalled everything, reinstalled the latest versions of itunes and mplugin (several times). When I only install itunes, no problem, its only after installing mplugin that it happens. And I haven't had this problem with the same skin and versions on my work computer. Any thoughts anyone?

I had the same problem as alot of people... copied the new stuff from the .zip to the itunes directory and it wasn't showing up when I opened the preferences dialog in itunes. Thanks to unbe I figured it out... 1. Uninstall itunes (and delete everything from the directory after restart... not sure if that is totally necessary) 2. Install itunes 5 3. Install mplugin0.6 4. copy the new stuff. 5. Enjoy.

So I've had about every problem described here, first not seeing the entire dialog (see applelover's post above for how to fix that) and then the "no user interface" error after I had enabled the passthrough. I wasn't able to enable the itunes passthrough in Foobar because I couldn't see it, although I did see the foo_itunes.dll file in the foobar2000/components folder. Turns out I was missing the msvcr71.dll file (search google for it, you'll find download links). It goes in the windowssystem folder.

I'm having the same problem as tetmin's... the foobar error comes up when itunes is open, not if I try to open Foobar. I just know that it is a foobar error because the error window has a Foobar icon. And like him, when I close itunes, it just opens up again.... and I can't disable the scripting interface thing. Am I the only one who hates it when some jackass says "read the first message of the topic"?

Actually, with a little more playing, I figured out that if you select the 'Hide Menu' option, hit the space bar to reapply your old setting from before you clicked it, and then scroll down once and hit the space bar you'll get it. Now I have a Foobar Error that says no user interface found. Any thoughts?

I actually think the Foobar thing is there, its just that the window is too small to show it. On my home computer it truncates before the option to disable the scripting interface and on my computer at work it shows that option and then truncates. If you click on the last box showing it will uncheck it (or check it), but hit the space bar and it will re-check the box. Then you can scroll down with the arrow keys and select boxes using the space bar. That being said, I don't know how many more menus there might be or where the foobar one shows up, so hopefully someone can clarify that... otherwise, its hunt and peck.

This is by far the best program I've come across on this website in 2+ years of frequenting it. Just what I've been looking for. Lets me use Avetunes exclusively! You are the man.

I have just recently (2-3 days ago) started having this problem; I'll be working on my computer with several programs running (Firefox, Thunderbird, Word, iTunes, maybe AutoCAD, etc.) and AveDesk witll just quit. I don't know what causes it or when it happens as I typically have several maximized windows covering the desktop. The tray icon stays there until you wave the mouse over it and I can restart it no problem-o. Doesn't happen at home, only at work and the computer was reformatted less than a month ago. Also, whenever my screensaver kicks on AveDesk flashes like its having a seizure for about 20 seconds before the screensaver comes on. I looked for other people having this problem before I posted as a bug. Hope this was the right forum/topic.

Go to Desklet Properties and select the 'Label Format' tab. Unclick the radio button thats says "Automatically update the desklets caption..." Enter your own label in the 'Appearance' tab.

Very nice work. Where did you get that background, its cool enough to distract me from the icons.
