AC3 audio (filter here - http://ac3filter.sourceforge.net/) will give surround sound. I think there is a multi channel hack of mp3 but nobody encodes in multichannel unless they have a multichannel source (generally very rare for music).

Depending on what protocols you use avatars should be stored in the miranda directory. ie for MSN mirandaMSN. Are these files there? Make sure you have loadavatars.dll avalible in the latest nightly from here http://blog.miranda-im.org/2006/02/28/build-48-released-2/

Irc in Miranda relys on chat.dll which at the moment does not support Ieview or much else in the way of skinning. If you PM some one on irc you should get a tabsrmm message window that is skinned with your ieview skin but otherwise it is impossible.

Have you got the latest version of avetunes- I had a similar problem untill I updated.

So the actual problem is the shadow not the lack of contacts. Is the shadow part of the skin? or is it given by an external program? Look under options-> window->translucency options->enable drop shadow No- you need to use dbtool.exe- it will fix errors in your database casue by corruption. Look in your /miranda IM folder for it.

That is quite weird- have you used dbtool.exe? Maybe your contact frame is hidden. Also do you actually have contacts anymore? Also what is with your shadow?

Not really a solution to your problem but.. You can tell the mouse to use the generic Microsoft HID drivers- that is what I am doing. Mainly due to the fact that setpoint won't allow me to use my MX610's middle click in Firefox which is an unforgivable mistake in my books. Luckily my Volume up and down buttons work properly but the stupid mail and IM lights don't work seeing as I dont use Messenger or Outlook.

I just discovered minilyrics- Not really a plugin I spose, more of a stand alone rather than a plugin but it is really really cool. Much better than evilyrics IMHO. The only problem is it doents seem to write lyrics to the ID3 tags of m4a files (ie most of my library). Now all need is a decent itunes skin for it.

While I like the Pureplastics port I really like the Bigicons skin from here http://addons.miranda-im.org/details.php?a...iewfile&id=1904 It is essentially the same as pureplastics but it also gives resizable topbar that shows the avatars and when the converstaion began.

Well I have the same setup and mine get differentiated, even when only one is plugged in. Not sure what I did to make that happen.

Isnt moveable type free for unlimited blog/one author system. As long as you have the hosting already with the requisite PHP/MySQL access then all you need to do is upload it.

Dvorak is such a hack- I don't see Apple making yet another major change to OS/Architecture in such a small periods of time.

I am curious as to why you need to switch to linux to do this. I dont think that linux will necessarily give you faster boot times- and definately not as fast as just turning on a tv. It may be good to setup such a linux system for a standalone HTPC (think XBMC) but I would not recommend creating dual boot just for this.

YOU may have the right (or at least believe you do) but spare a thought for us poor people who do not have that right and never have. Please let this not got the way of the RIAA because then we will have less reason to change our laws to allow a decent amount of fair use.

I'm not sure if this is know bug but I also have trouble with icons disappearing from automounted drives. It will show in the deklet properties windows but I have to change the icon and click apply for it to actually show. At othertimes the automounter module just disappears from the list of instlled modules even when the dll in in the modules directory. It doesnt really bother me and I've lived with it so far but seeing this thread I thought I would throw my 2c in. P.S.(I'm sure someone will tell me to use the search function and give me a dozen links with a solution but like I said I havent sought a soloution i've just been living with it)

This is actually an interesting proposition- what happens when humans develop memory enhancments that effectively make a memory a one-to-one copy of the subjective experience. Who will own the rights to that memory of content experience: the Copyright Holders or the persons who's brain the memory resides in. Why buy a cd of a song when you can just listen to it on a radio and replay it over and over again in you head? I think that with a whole generation of individuals with no repsect at all for the concept of copyright that the winners won't be the MMPA/RIAA.

Well in some countries this is illegal- for example in Australia we are not afforded the same fair use rights as Americans. So ARIA (our RIAA) doesnt need to try to take these rights away seeing as we never had them.

You do not need to register if you already have a gmail account. Use your existing gamil login options. Make sure you have the ssl libraries installed either in you system root or in the Miranda program folder. You can use this mod of jabber.dll which is designed specifically for gtalk http://forums.miranda-im.org/showthread.php?t=5730. It will give you custom gmail push notifications. There is a build of this mod that included statically linked ssl libraries (ie you dont need to install ssl seperately). For the second problem you may need to right click on a group and select "hide offline contacts in here" or something similar. What contact list are you using?
