Just wanted to know what it means because i didn't change my clock speed, or mess around with anything else in the BIOS... oh yea sorry for my "dramatic" little paragraph i wrote in my previous altercation with this Link to comment
shinter Posted January 24, 2007 Report Share Posted January 24, 2007 is your motherboard from ASUS? i have ASUS and have had that message popup on pc startup bios screen a few times. After checking their website forum it seems its common with some motherboards from them. I updated my bios and havent had it for a while now. Hope it helps ya. Link to comment

KAWSquared Posted January 25, 2007 Author Report Share Posted January 25, 2007 Yes i have an ASUS Motherboard, and unfortunately, i can't do a reformat just yet, because my external HD is currently full. I'm going to see if i can save all of it to my Mac Boot Camp, and then maybe do a reformat. BTW, what makes you think i need a reformat?Edit: Why would i play around with BOOTEX? Why not opt for the easy solution; buy an extra HD and do a fresh install of your OS on this?BTW, what makes you think i need a reformat?Call it a hunch. Link to comment

shinter Posted January 25, 2007 Report Share Posted January 25, 2007 Acually it is fixable with a bios flash/update. Check your motherboard manual on how to update/flash your bios. Asus has 4-5 ways of doing this. If u dont have a manual check their website for tips. I think its all just a small bug in bios thats all, no need to reformat or anything. Link to comment
