If integrating AveIconifier is too much trouble, don't worry about it. I agree with Unbeliever and starforge about the icon size thing.

However, I suggest a link somewhere on this program to AveIconifier. Either a web link to download it, or a place where you can click an icon and Iconifier will popup

(that sounds relatively simple- just have an option where the user can write the path to Iconifier on the system; however, I'm not a programmer and if it's too much trouble, forget it!)

Some other requests:

1) Maybe different views? For example, a column view. Maybe vneumann can help you with that code.

2)Make it more 1:1, please, or at least try and use the QuickDrop feature shown in Static's Pixadex screenie (on Page 1).

2.1) Okay, how lame is this? :D I suggest downloading Pixadex (a trial version), and seeing how it works. PearPC is your friend (but not mine because unlike some, I don't have access to an OS X CD. No warez discussion allowed, either)!

Iam sure it will be a great addition no matter how he does it.

Hell yeah!!!!

I agree 100% ;)

Ave, thanks for your hardwork on your skinning engine and I hope in the future you can sell it to other developers so they can use it in thier apps! I would buy it when I learn to code... :D

@ nightcrawler - Ave's doing this cause i kept bothering him about an icon preview app. this will be nothing like pixadex, more like FontBook for icons.

maybe if Ave decides to expand it later but for now it`s just a preview app (like IconBox)

all those things are like the same though ;)

I think it would only make better sense to integrate Iconifier into this iconbook. defeats the purpose in creating and adding to both iconifier and iconbook separately.

** don't know if i'm actually fully upto date with this thread... sorta burnt out to even follow from the beginning**

Ok I just found this thread and I've gone and created a screenshot of some suggestions...

iconbook.jpg

I don't beleive there should be a Pixadex clone, I think this can be better in some ways.

Have a management system much like iTunes does with playlists, only this is with icons or pngs....

There could be two separate libraries, one for .ico files and one for .png files. As said in previous threads a slider bar for showing multiple sizes and a convert button which would create the opposite file type in the opposing library.

I realize these are wishes, but this could be an EXTREMELY useful app for those wanting to manage thier icons. :D:D

PS... before iTunes, Explorer.exe was a good way to manage mp3's too :6
