And here you can download the modified files. Franziose Addon: The Skin used in the Screenshots is longhorn inspiriat made also by StefanKa //edit: These files are for the German version of XP //edit: Here you can geht the xpsp2res.dll but it's not completely modded at the moment ReplacerScript.rar Link to comment
starforge
Woohoo, just a quick question while I'm downloading, but these files are all for the English XP SP2 right? Just asking because the screenshots aren't Link to comment
Unbeliever
one question i must ask.permission? Link to comment
Nico
He's got permission, is this all in German tho?Edit: Downloaded. These files are not like the originals. I noticed differences in files suck as iexplorer and others just by their appearance. Is this a 1:1 port of Stefanka's original files? Link to comment
franziose
Oh Sorry, I forgot, it's for the German version. I have also the permission //Edit: @foxxor Are the files not the same Version ? It is nearly a one on one port, expected of the xpsp2res where I have adapted the files, because there are the changed dialogs. Link to comment
Nico
I just found out, the hard way. Anyone know how to recover your original files? I don't mind the German but its hard to navigate with it... Link to comment
franziose
@foxxorI'm sorry I forgot to post it in my first post.Normally if you have replaced the files with replacer or batchmode, there is a backup. Link to comment

cascho
How can i install them in one step? Link to comment
franziose
The easiest way is to use replacer or batchmode, because it make automaticaly a backup of the files. But for the xpsp2res.dll you have to boot in safemode and replace it. Link to comment
Angryman
Hmm, but thats not all in one step... for that u need a replacer list i think!!! And because its a one to one port u can use the list from the SystemFile release for SP1, because the list is not included in the new one... So get them both!!! :naughty: Or am i wrong ? ? ?<_< I checked it for myself now... U can use it, but u need the latest stable version or replacer not the newest release...I am not sure if all files are replaced, which are provided in the pack. But most of them!! :canadian: Link to comment
franziose
I tested it with the newest version, the strange thing was that the file have been replaced (xpsp2res.dll) but after rebooting there were again the old one I will add the replacer list in my first post. Link to comment
gahbmwM5
Well, I have now the WindowXP SP2 Express Version (79 MB- 299 MB) Downloading right now in the background, so with my very patched system hopefully my D/L will be around 79- 90 MB... Without any members porting stefanKa SP1 sysfiles to SP2 (English) yet, looks like I'll be running with Luna for a while... I can always trying the new SP2 shell32.dll with Restorator 2004, and my present latest SP1 shell32 (hacked with stefanka resources), but I'm pretty sure some of the AVI's, and probably bitmaps won't work properly with SP2... Oh well... Link to comment

madsurrge
Yep, same here. I tried manually swapping ntoskrnl.exe in system32 folder and the damn thang kept restoring the original file despite my deleting the copy in the dllcache folder. Where it gets the originals from then? I tried searching the entire windows folder to no avail. Guess that's some built in mechanism in SP2 that restores system files despite their being altered or deleted in both system32 and dllcache folders. What did help me was disabling WFP and then swapping the files and reenabling the WFP after reboot.
