hey unionJack, this is a great addition to the flyakiteOSX kit! im using it now and its great.

One question tho, mine isn't kicking over to the "plugged in" icon?! Any clue as to why? With the normal DLL, its plugged in no problem, but with your piece, it stays on charging all the time, unless the machine is not plugged in?

Cheers and thanks for the great work!

Another note too, if you ARE using Flyakite OS X, and you choose to use the update feature in flyakite, this dll will get replaced by the one included with flyakite's. so if you prefer this one, i'd recommend storing it somewhere else on your computer as well so that you can replace it again after the flyaOSX update is complete :).

yup, i made sure to use yours AFTER the flyakite install.. its listed as 36.5kb. and by looking at it, its a bit more rounded than what is originally included in the fly-a-kite version.

actually, now that i think about it, both yours and teh fly-a-kite version have the same always-charging bug for me, whereas the stock windows systray icon does work correctly.

goodluck w/exams!

no problem :D

i'm glad you like it!!! :)

by the way, i really like your visual style. would you mind telling me where you got it? it doesnt look like kol's tiger or any of the ones ive seen here. also, this may be a dumb question lol, but how do you change your clock's font like that? and would you mind linking me to that display icon if you still have it on you? thanks :D and glad you like the battery mod ;)

Hey Jack, don't take this bad, but please avoid storing the Preview PNG... Thats 80kb more (ok ok, I have broadband, but others maybe not, and... Dunno, seems more...hmmm... economic! =P)

Oh, and thnx for checking the toolbar thingy... I haven't been able to find it... v.vU

hey D1, i haven't been able to find anything. sorry about that.

in terms of the preview png thing, do you mean the one in my first post? sorry, i was under the impression that most people here had broadband :slant:

thanks for the hint though. i'll keep it in mind for next time :)

hey unionjack, use this for the image link at the top, its free and its a jpg so its a bit easier on the dial-up users:

about the visual style, yes, you would not have seen anything else like this before, well, because i made it.. elements are adapted from various other themes, but i don't think any of them come together as well as this, as you can judge for yourself from a few of my screeners. the systray clock is an interesting hack that i found out by accident in editing the stylebuilder xml ~1.5yrs ago... apparently it makes the clock in a shadowed font, where it leaves the rest of the taskbar normal..

(the batmeter is still the old flyakite version here... its a screener from 2 nights ago..)

PM me and i'll try to email you a 'test' copy, so far it works on all my units but of course other feedback would be appreciated~!

Sorry to bring to thread "up" again, but I liked the new battery icons very much. The standard XP ones are...well, forget about that.

The only thing I didn't like about it is that it looks a bit cut off. So I decided to make my own version of it and post it here. All credits go to the original author, it's really just a little mod it'd like to share with you to say "Thank You!".

You can dl it from

my account at the university.

Batmeter.dll in loading action...

Sorry, shame on me. Now the real version I wanted to share with you is online.

Alright, this is my problem. The standard batmeter is 28 kb. I replaced it with your batmeter.dll.

The weird thing is that it's return from your 36.5 kb batmeter.dll to the old 28 kb batmeter.dll

How come ?! I really want to use this mod. If it helps, I'm not using Flyakite..
