Ghostwalker
Place some options in the context menu then when they choose weather source have the back display that image acuweather or weather.com Link to comment
sean.fletcher
I like the option of choosing which weather site you can get your feed off of, even though I'll probably just keep it on accuweather...is there any chance of the widget having a small spawning button? Link to comment
SioSae
@ghostwalkercant pm you because your storage reached its limit. @sean.fletcherI think about getting the spawning done for some time now, has an idea, but have to redesign most of the code and decided to do it after finishing the actual features for the next release.@allif someone want to test the flipping animation, please download this beta version. It will only works if forecast isn't shown and has only day-color-background yet. plus the fading before and after the flipping isn't active in this beta. Link to comment

ron21
BTW, I also think that a context menu would be a great addition to this widget Link to comment
algerman
by the way, unfortunately there is no way to get the information if the city you entered is on the northern or southern hemisphere out of the weather feed. So I cant set the moon phases for the southern hemisphere (which should be other than in the northern hemisphere as far as I know) I think the only "difference" is that it is upsidedown, the phases are much the same... BTW mine is not working, even if I try northern hemisphere locations. If I understood the posts (not a programer...), the widget gets the moon phases from the weather feed, didn't it? Well, Arlo's TheWeather 2.01 apparently stop getting it this morning, and so did yours, maybe a problem with the feed? Anyway, Arlo used to have the "Werewolf monitor", wich seems to use a little different method of calculating the moon phases, please forgive me to post such a big message, but the .kon file from Werewolf shows: Well, it looks like astronomical math... no need to get the feed, is it different from Dashboard's method? If needed be, chain me in the basement... Link to comment
SioSae
@algermanthanks, maybe changing it to the calculation of the phases will solve the problem. can you please edit your post and delete the source, just to make your post smaller. thanks a lot.SioSae Link to comment
sean.fletcher
Oh, SioSae, somehow you got me to play with the flipping animation for 20 minutes.Oh, and I found a little bug: If you flippit fast enough, the 'i" button shows on the back.Great job, this will be amazing when its all done. Pooky
One thing you should check - When the weather forecast says "hazy", it shows the picture of haze, but it has a sun in the background.... I don't think the sun is supposed to be there. Link to comment

Diamond30
hey I was wondering where does this widget get its weather from because when its raining outside it says its sunny or cloudy which isnt correct Link to comment
Ghostwalker
From the same source as the Dashboard widget ,AccuWeather so I would imagine the people with Tiger get the same weather information. So dont fell bad SioSae has added werather .com so that will take care of your problems. Link to comment
SioSae
@diamond30you have to know, that the weather information will only change every 30 minutes (i cant change it, i fetch every 3 minutes a need weather feed from accuweather but the data inside is the same for 30 minutes). and for the weather.com i did almost the same because i dont know what will happen if i try to contact weather.com to often. I remember weather.com will block you if you contact them to often.@ron21thanks man, almost forgot the border issue. it will be in the next release. Link to comment
Rain
Hi SioSae,You have created a piece of art. It's beautiful and it's useful. However, i have found one bug. Whenever I tried to play video files using the decoder FFDshow, my video would play, but the screen is pitch black. I would have to close the widget in order to play any videos.I'm thinking that you are using some sorta rendering for your widget which coincide with the one that video rendering uses, and it conflicted. Is there remedy that I can use so that I may continue using the beautiful widget and play video files?Thank you for this beautiful widget.ps. I can't select the weather.com option and i'm still on acu weather. Link to comment
thescooby001
@Rain, the reason you can not choose weather.com is because the version for that has not been released... it should be coming out this weekend according to SioSaedevelopment update:--> new release this weekendSioSaeAs for your other problem... I have no video issue with mine... sorry I cant help... :slant: Link to comment
SioSae
@Rainthis is an interesting bug because I don't know how this can be happen. makes it even stranger if your video works fine after closing my widget. I don't use any extra rendering, so I don't know how I can fix this right now, but I will keep it in mind.@allhere is the new version for everyone who wants to help me getting any bug out of it. its not official and wont be on the first post as a link until monday so I have a whole weekend for testing. I will appreciate all of your help very much. The new Release has double its file size because of the whole bunch of flipping images.Having Problems with uploading the version. will fix it now.SioSae Link to comment
