manjusura
You know, there are days when I'm quite happy to have a PC instead of a Mac... Thanks SioSae! And I'm satisfied with your answer about 'Manage Widgets' too - yup, doesn't bother me in the least where it is now, and it sounds like there's a good reason for it. Link to comment
aashish13
Sorry if its already been said, but scrolling in the widget manager, kinda cuts off certain widgets. I mean that if I scroll down by using the scrollbar and then scroll up again, some widgets that used to be there aren't. I know its not clear, but if you try what I'm saying you'll see it. Again, sorry if someone already mentioned it. Link to comment
keyboardguy
Great App! I don't even get the choppy animation when moving the mouse anymore. One request - After watching Apple's Dashboard video over and over, I noticed that the close buttons on the widgets only appear when the widget dock is open, and when it's closed, the widget close buttons disappear. I guess the only way to remove widgets is through the widget dock. Is it possible to implement this? Link to comment

I guess the only way to remove widgets is through the widget dock. Is it possible to implement this?i know that the close buttons are handled from the dashboard dock but this is konfabulator we are using and they haven't a real widget handling interface i can use. i would need such an api to get/set the location of a widget from another one. to get files from inside a widget file (an icon or a default image so i couldshow a preview like the real widget manager do before adding a new widget). also the spawning isn't handled by the application instead of multiple files via the widgetdock. with such an api i could implement the drag icon, chang to default and drop it where you want on screen before loading at this position.today the only way to solve some of the issues would be a direct communication with all the widgets, but therefore they must implement the equivalent action triggers and the code needed. i had the discussion before and decided to do the widget handling as far as konfabulator allows it and dont try to ask every widget developer to change their widgets to work with mine.----------about the scrolling in the widgetdock. if you scroll slowly there will be no cut of items in the list. but i will try to fix that problem. ji_huiwen
but have noticed when the "address book" and "unit converter" is placed as the first icons, the border kind of cuts off their names a bit... and i wonder if you could hide the last icon when the manager icon slids in from the left, 'cause when it dose, the last one gets cut off in half you know. but still, marvelous job you've done again! ji_huiwen
ha, i think by making the lower right corner of the bodyl.png transparent fixed the cutting off name problem. Link to comment
ji_huiwen
oh, and two more things. correct if im wrong, but i remember in 10.4.2, when the manager is not opened, the more widget image would still appear on the right. and your font size (under dock icons) is a bit larger than the original. firecracker6
fyi ji_huiwen... there is an edit button which you can use to append new thoughts/clarifications/corrections to your post. This way, you're following the rules and keeping clear of unpleasant reprimands. Link to comment
SioSae
optimized the widget a little bit:- cut of the name of the first icon isn't a problem anymore - made the overlayered image transparent for the text (thanks for your advice ji_huiwen) - fixed the sliding bug when open the dock (images didn't slide to its final positions sometimes) :-))- a click in the scrollbar will scroll to the position- hide the last bar icon if it wont be shown completely while widget manager icon is shown- the more widget image is shown when the widget manager isn'twill release the new version today or wait until the new konfab releases 2.1 is out in a couple of days so i can make my release without the resources folder. we will see.SioSae Link to comment
