Ok, not sure who is at fault here. But Avedesk runs fine, however with it running the genie effect will be slow and laggy.

I think if you and Raduking can get together you can solve this conflict. Check the video here about konfubulator and rk launcher, I get the exact same problem with Avedesk. I have more hope of you and Raduking getting it fixed between you than Konfubulator.

the suck animation looks like there is a big black block to the right of the widget when it sucks in.

Ave: screenshots would help

Bug description: tray icon dissappears and can't get it back (without reboot?), going to global settings and checking "show a tray icon for avedesk" doesn't bring it back either.

EDIT2: nevermind, i found out problem. it wasn't AVE, somehow in AVE under Global Setting, Tray icon tab, i browse for tray icon before but didnt pick one so it was blank, got it back by clicking on "Use default icon". :)

Bug description: Stycky Notes 'checkboxes' misbehave on resize (image attached)

http://www.ljplus.ru/img/_/c/_cell/flippy_stuff.jpg

Items involved: Sticky Notes

Windows Version: XP SP2

DirectX version: 9.0c

System specs: Athlon(thunderbird) 1.4Ghz, 512Mb RAM, ATI Radeon 9600Pro

Graphics card & drivers version: ATI Radeon 9600Pro Catalyst 5.9

Desklets running: Sticky Notes, Translator

Steps to reproduce:

1. Add a new Sticky to desktop.

2. Set its size to 180*180 (anything other than default)

3. Flip it.

4. Try to use any checkbox. (Seems like the visuals of controls have been scaled properly, but 'active areas' remained the same as on default sized desklet)

Special notes: tried with smaller and larger size. The same misbehaviour.

Font list, Font Size list and 'Done' button do work fine with any size.

Ave: Confirmed bug in the desklet

But 81.85 is the latest official nVidia driver, and gives me some really good gaming performance :(

And... whats that shiftshader thing? Looks like a GPU tester to me.

swiftshader is a software implementation of the dx8/9 functions that are usually hardware accellerated. It help running 3d stuff when you don't have a good graphic card - but a good processor :) Just take d3d9.dll and put it in the Avedesk folder

Bug description: When I go to load up AveDesk I get a notification for my 'Windows Installer for Product Drivers'. I end up having to keep cancelling this notification out.

Items involved: AveDesk

Windows version: Windows XP Home SP1

DirectX version: 9.0

System specs: Celeron 2.5Ghz, 256MB DDR SDRAM

Graphics card & drivers version: Intel Extreme with 64mb of RAM, Intel v6.14.10.3889 (yeah, I know *roll*)

Desklets running: none yet when this happens

Steps to reproduce: Loading up AveDesk

Special notes: Happens with v1.3, but noticed it a few months ago with v1.2

Side note: A dumb question, but how is everyone updating this version on their computers? (I noticed that the file structure is different on this version, so I opened v1.3 in a different folder and transferred some things between versions - then ran into minor problems. I could explain more, but I feel that if this is answered - I wont need to.)

Heh, is there anyway I can do some testing to help? Most people will be using 81.85 since it's the latest version, after all.

EDIT: err... right, well something funky happened with Avedesk and it crashed, so when I started it up again the flip animation suddenly worked. However, now the sucky animation doesn't work:

When I click the red X, the widget dissapears and the red x slowly fades away.

EDIT2: Err... Avedesk 1.3 won't load the themes I created with it. I deleted the Avedesk 1.2 folder and tried again but still nothing. The tray icon also shows up as a blank spot in the system tray (except when it's rotating).

Bug description: Suck/Flip effects were working; now they don't

Items involved: Any desklet involving these effects

System specs:Pentium M 1600 mhz, 1.2 ghz, 512mb of RAM

I've checked and rest global settings so both options are ticked, but nada. EDIT: Just reinstalled 9.0c and the suck effect now works again, but I've still yet to see the flip effect in action.
