Recall
Ok, not sure who is at fault here. But Avedesk runs fine, however with it running the genie effect will be slow and laggy.I think if you and Raduking can get together you can solve this conflict. Check the video here about konfubulator and rk launcher, I get the exact same problem with Avedesk. I have more hope of you and Raduking getting it fixed between you than Konfubulator.http://www.aqua-soft.org/board/showthread....6178#post326178Example:Bug description: Label visible on desktop for removable drives after showcase is acitvated/deactivatedItems involved: PIDL shortcutWindows Version: Windows XP Pro SP2DirectX version: 9.0cSystem specs:Athlon 64 3500+ 2.2ghz, 1gb of DDR RAMGraphics card & drivers version: Nvidia 6800GT with 256mb of RAM, Official WHQL 81.85Desklets running: Single pidl shortcutSteps to reproduce:1. Run avedesk and add a single pidl shortcut.2. Open rklauncher3. Minimise a window with genie effect4. Genie effect is hella slow5. Close avedesk6: Genie effect works at full speed. Link to comment

AndreasV
@Pooky: looks like a driver problem, try different drivers or try this http://www.transgaming.com/swiftshader.php. Link to comment

dreadnaut
But 81.85 is the latest official nVidia driver, and gives me some really good gaming performance And... whats that shiftshader thing? Looks like a GPU tester to me. swiftshader is a software implementation of the dx8/9 functions that are usually hardware accellerated. It help running 3d stuff when you don't have a good graphic card - but a good processor Just take d3d9.dll and put it in the Avedesk folder Link to comment
tri1ogy
Bug description: When I go to load up AveDesk I get a notification for my 'Windows Installer for Product Drivers'. (I noticed that the file structure is different on this version, so I opened v1.3 in a different folder and transferred some things between versions - then ran into minor problems. I could explain more, but I feel that if this is answered - I wont need to.) Link to comment
Pooky
Right, well swiftshader makes it run a lot smoother, but I still have the bug. Please try to make this work with 81.85, as I'm not switching back. FANTASTIC work though, this is the best program ever! Link to comment

Pooky
Heh, is there anyway I can do some testing to help? Most people will be using 81.85 since it's the latest version, after all.EDIT: err... right, well something funky happened with Avedesk and it crashed, so when I started it up again the flip animation suddenly worked. However, now the sucky animation doesn't work:When I click the red X, the widget dissapears and the red x slowly fades away.EDIT2: Err... Avedesk 1.3 won't load the themes I created with it. I deleted the Avedesk 1.2 folder and tried again but still nothing. The tray icon also shows up as a blank spot in the system tray (except when it's rotating). Link to comment
