"my uxtheme.dll version is not supported by this patch"

it asks me to contact the developer. i guess this is why flyakite is not theming windows as well as any apps like office etc.

i attach my uxtheme, is it possible to get it added?

I noticed this problem a few months back so I just got rid of Flyakite for ease of use so I could use Last.fm.

Now I don't claim to know a whole lot about the system files and the modding of them, but it seems that this visual style (or something running within it) takes up the same DLL space as Last.fm and when I start Last, I get this message:

Has anyone encountered this problem before? If so, is there a certain something in Flayakite that could be changed or deleted to allow Last to work?

I've also noticed a problem with the XP Calculator as well, it shows this:

Any light shone on this situation would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, I installed flyakite 3.5 on my system. it works real fine.now my pc looks like a mac. even though i run a machine with 256 MB ram, it actually works faster than xp default theme.

only 1 prob. The flyakite boot screen is good and so is the welcome screen. but it is the one in between that does not come up. When i run chkdsk and diskeeper boot time defrag all i get is a black screen.but the programs run behind the black screen. i only cant see the progress.

can someone help me lift this black curtain??? nothing i tried works. i uninstalled and again reinstalled. everything while booting works fine except for this black screen.

Its good but it messed up my system - i lost every thing. System restore was disabled.. had to re-install.... windows...

Finally, found the place to post this important bug! I posted this message in the wrong place of the forum, this is the copy of it.

I would like to report a big bug on the Program FlyakiteOS X. on the very begining of this month I had the program installed, and I wanted to "error check my HD" (Like when you right click on the HD icon on my comoputer and click the "tools" tab and then you click the error checking section" I did that, and then I told me to restart my Computer, and then all the sudden when I restarted the computer, I got a DOS mode styled message that Windows had crashed and then it had the option like the just run windows normally, or run it with the most settings that worked and run Windows in safe mode, I tried all those option and what happened was that each time I saw the apple logo boot screen, the Computer will restart and then go to the same screen and restart again, I tried the system restore thing and it was corrupted, so the only thing that was left was re-intalling Windows, so all my important photos, music videos were GONE! gone, gone gone!

So I would like any one to fix this major bug, this is my computer`s specs:

Compaq Presario 2005

Pentium 4

512MB RAM

Windows XP home

Norton Antivirus

The same thing that happened to Jammy343 happened to me. the Compaq System recovery got corrupted and I lost all of my files. This bug might be native to Compaq Presario computers, but might be universal too... Please fix this bug Flyakite OS, you product is great and I will keep using it, but I will for now on I will backup everything.

MacOS9fan, it's too late now, but you probably could have backed up your data with a Linux Live CD, and/or maybe rescued your computer if you had posted here earlier.

How many times have you restarted since uninstalling? Doing it more than once may help.

just installed flyakite osx 3.5. i also got that 'user32.dll relocated in memory' dialog when i start up.

and another thing, i'm not really sure if this is flyakite's fault but, if i open a folder (by double clicking it) it shows a Search window (rather than the files and folders contained on that folder). it does the same things with Pidlshortcuts i made using avedesk. The problem i noticed was when you right-click on a folder, the first option is Search..(bold) followed by open then explore. (i think the default is Open first, then explore then search)

This happened after i installed Flyakite. Then i uninstalled flyakite to see if the problem would go away but it's still there. Then i installed it again, but still the problem is there.

The only thing i can do now is to right-click on folders all the time and select 'Open' but it would still be best if it would open when i double click on it.

Any way to fix this? i have reshack but i don't know how to use it or what file will i be 'hacking'..

Hey guys,

Im having a bit of trouble. Ive been looking through the forums and dont quite understand the solutions. My problem is that when I reboot, turn on, whatever... after the apple upload screen does its thing and then the screen goes black. I even left it there for 25 min... nothing. Ive restarted it multiple multiple times but to no avial. Now i was reading about something removing the 3.5v boot and installing the 3.0v boot? Can someone help me on that? Much appreciated!

EDIT: I was being stupid... I realized that it was either chk dsk or a spyware thing that was making the screen black... oh well.

Also, so i just unistalled itunes and quicktime and from what i understand there is no up-to-date pluggin? Is this correct?

Another question... the spyware detection on my laptop (CounterSpy) is detecting some wierd processes as trojans:

Trojan.Wfpdis.A

Trojan.NewMediaCodec

Should I be worried about this??? I have a feeling that it is just this spyware thing... ugh i hate it but my school d/led it and i dont know if i can take it off.

You are correct in that there is no up-to-date plugin.

Wfpdis.A, if it is what I think it is, is a service FlyakiteOSX uses to replace the system files. I don't know about that latter one, though...you might wanna try and do some further research on that.

Work around for boot screen problem.

Install FlyakiteOSX v3.5 but uncheck boot screen option.

Reboot the system which asked by FlyakiteOSX.

Now, modify the boot.ini, add the following after /fastdetect /noguiboot

Now, reboot the system. You will not see the Windows boot screen but only "MAC OSX".

patarongrat, that's a result of Y'Z Shadow. You can disable it and the shadow boxes will go away. Search for more info.

Flyakite resizes my icons to 32x32 everytime that I reboot.

I change my icons to 48x48 in display properties and I've tried using flyakite's user settings dialog.

My system is XP Professional SP2.

ive tried searching for explorer.exe and it opens the browser but same fault

i opened the task manager and i see it in there

i went through c:windowssystem32 and i dont see explorer.exe

NOTE: i have uninstalled Flyakite and explorer works fine but, when i re-enstalled it the problem re-occured

styler toolbar and objectbar both have their respective effects on ie. styler toolbar can hide ie and explorer menus, objectbar can hide address bar/movable menus of explorer and ie (see general options). if you are using one or both, pls check....

maybe i didnt explain myself clearly. i am using a different computer to post this messege because for some reason, when i installed flyakiteOSX, i no longer can get on the internet because it now has no connection.

p.s. wireless and firefox doesnt work either

The function to replace the system icon did not work since recent Windows Update. Are there some ideas?

This software is sooooo cool, keep up the good work

But after a while, the icons (new OSX icons) became like this:

There's white edges around them. Donno why

But everthing's fine with program icons (not system icons, like the Firefox one)

Everything else works

P.s I've tried to update the 'System Files' and done the 'Rebuild Icon Cache' but it still doesn't work....
