Raginwald
I have tried to do this on windows vista home premium, with several programs, some of which have been mentioned above. It doesnt work, and I think that the vistaglass is causing some problems here. I can not get any background images to work, but not even changing the background color If anyone knows how this can be solved, preferably with keeping the vistaglass files working, please help Link to comment
Raginwald
UPDATE:i got it working with this app: mpj.tomaatnet.nl/vista/folderbg.htmland it still has the vistaglass files running, so skins are also still applied!only thing is that in every folder i now have a desktop.ini file... SirSmiley
There is no shadow option to the best of my knowledge? These are the only options available for a desktop.ini[.ShellClassInfo]ConfirmFileOp=0InfoTip=This is a test of InfoTip.IconFile=INSERT PATH TO YOUR ICONIconIndex=0[ExtShellFolderViews]{BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}={BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}[{BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}]ICONAREA_IMAGE=INSERT PATH TO YOUR BACKGROUND BMP IMAGEICONAREA_TEXT=0x009F9F9F Link to comment
AndreasV
For vista, you can use http://www.aveapps.com VistaFolder Background. Integrates an extra property page in a folders properties dialog. Link to comment
reed1
can i have same folder background for all folder ? without adding desktop.ini to all folder of course Link to comment
KAWSquared
With all the folders on your computer (i think the average computer has 50 000+ folders) it might take a while. Also, i don't think there are any universal settings. Link to comment
