stevvvvvvve
I'm trying to clean out my MY DOCUMENTS folder on my C: drive since I store all my music and such on my external drive. Anyways when I delete my MY MUSIC folder it keeps reappearing when I open iTunes. I set my iTunes folder for one on my G: drive. Is there a way to keep iTunes from constantly creating a MY MUSIC folder? I know this seems kinda petty but I just don't want the folder to keep coming back after I delete it. Link to comment
Ojalord
Change the default library folder in iTunes. Link to comment
Narfmaster
In XP Windows Media Player will automatically recreate that folder as well, so you need to go to WMP - Options- Media Library - Monitor Folders, and remove the My Music folder.Otherwise try typing "regsvr32 /u mydocs.dll" into the Start -> Run which disables it manually. stevvvvvvve
I'm gonna give that a try when I get home. Thanks. Link to comment
firecracker6
you might also want to use Microsoft's PowerToy's TweakUI (I'm assuming you're using XP) and change the system folder reference to 'My Music' and assign it to another directory. This might be a more thorough approach in conjunction with the other's posted above. Link to comment
