Imageset icons and localization

Hello guys,

I have two questions about phpBB3 theme:

1) It's weird but imageset icons don't appear on my forum (forum_read.gif, forum_unread.gif etc). Is there any solution?

2) How can I localize the theme? I tried to edit /template files but it didn't work.
