Getting Rid Of The Taskbar

I've tried to nose around and see if the topic has been covered but if it has I can't find it.

I'm using Objectdock Free and I would love to reclaim the space currently being filled by the taskbar in Windows XP. The problem I find is that if I have several windows open and minimize one or more I can't get them to come back to full size from ObjectDock. What I get is another iteration of the program in a new window.

I'm sure I'm overlooking something simple. Or am I stuck with the taskbar?
