wfpoulet
As further development of RK Launcher has stalled (from what I understand), is the source code available, so that others can continue developing it ? Link to comment
jakub.karasek
I'd like it too, cause there is no better dock than RK launcher. Or do you know another dock with showing all running process with possibility to exclude them? Link to comment
mps69
As the source code belongs to RK himself, no one is going to say yes or no here, accept him.A few people have approached him asking to release the code but so far he's happy to keep this a family secret. So we all have to respect him in this decision. Ghostwalker
My momma told me it never hurts to ask. I really don't understand why he would not if he is not going to go any further with it. Matonga could add the stacks code to it and reflection it would be the ultimate dock. RK if you ever read this consider it. Link to comment
matonga
Wouldn't it be better a proposal to write from scratch an open source dock? With reflections, support for XWD and ObjectDock skins/docklets, show open apps, minimized windows, stacks, etc... I would but I'd probably do it with C++ and MinGW. Link to comment
mps69
Ghostwalker, your right, it never hurts to ask.matonga, I think that would be a major undertaking, there are so many expectations that have to met, with so many people wanting everything at once, it must get very disheartening for the developer. If someone else wants to take care of this or that task, he/she can freely contribute to the project with code of his/her own. Link to comment
vhanla
I found this dock sample code at codeproject.com, it is named XDockManager, it is written in VB and a C# port also is in its comments; it can be a way to start... http://www.codeproject.com/KB/vb/xDock.aspx I also was doing a little research on how to do a genie effect and this is what I've done so far (don't laugh 'cause I'm newbie at graphics and many other things too ) geniefx.zip Link to comment

Ghostwalker
matonga you should take this dock and run with it. Built in stacks, mirror effect make it compatible(if not already) with object dock docklets. Link to comment
